The 2010 Solo Performance
St. Louis Region
PDX Series
Precision Driving Xperience (PDX)
All of us have done the burn-out at a red light, or taken that curve at more than the “suggested speed,” imagining ourselves as racers while never leaving our street cars. With these events, you don’t have to dream anymore!
PDX’s are about you, the driver. Plenty of seat time, plenty of individual instruction and a ton of driving exercises make up these events held at Gateway Raceway on the 1.6 mile Road Course; both of which is designed to educate you and make you more confident behind the wheel, both on the track and on the street.
A PDX event is an SCCA Level 1 - PDX. Level 1 events are non-competitive and are based on the instruction and practice of performance driving and car handling.
Drivers will be grouped by their prior experience into one of 4 track groups: Novice drivers will have assigned instructors. Intermediate and advanced drivers may have instructors, based upon request and availability.
Drivers may progress to higher level groupings throughout the day, based on the decision of the Chief Instructor.
Convertibles and targa top vehicles must have a roll-bar that meets the rules of SCCA TTR, or a factory hardtop.
Note *** The 2002 Porsche Boxster, the Honda S2000 and the MINI Cooper Convertibles have been approved by the manufacturer as having factory rollever protection and may enter a SCCA PDX Event.
All participants MUST wear a Snell SA95, M95 or better helmet, long sleeved shirt, long pants and full shoes.
All drivers are responsible for compliance of these rules.
All drivers must be SCCA members. Weekend memberships are available for $15. Full yearly memberships also available. Note* Weekend memberships must be purchased at the event.
The PDX Committee is also holding a NEW event in 2010 for Advanced Drivers. It is a Club Trial Event.
A Club Trial is a PDX event that is timed with a transponder that is attached to each car.
This event is on the schedule and for more information contact us.
